BYBL Mustang Division: Ages 8, 9 and 10

The Mustang division is intended for 8 through 10 year old players that want to take the next step after playing Coach-Pitch. Children will begin to learn the whole game of baseball. They will begin to learn how to pitch from the wind-up and stretch, catch, leadoffs, steal bases, play the outfield and hit the cutoff man, pick-offs, base signs, and how to turn the double play. The base path is adjusted to 60ft for this age player and they pitch from 44ft. The Mustang Division is still intended to be an instructional league, but season standings are kept and there is post-season play resulting in a Mustang champion (like most youth sports).
All Mustang games are played right here in Bolingbrook at Indian Boundary Park. There are raised mounds, electronic scoreboards, grass infields and lights for night games. This is an extremely fun age for children's baseball as they develop and refine baseball skills and learn to "think" the game of baseball.
The past 2 years our Mustang division fielded 18 teams, and all registered players were placed on a team. All players have equivalent playing time, and rules are in place for younger pitchers to allow them opportunity as well. Children can expect to play approximately 18-20 games each season and all games are completed prior to the 4th of July, leaving family summer vacations intact. Uniform's are provided: MLB replica jersey and cap, pants and socks.
BYBL Bronco Division: Ages 11 and 12
The Bronco division is for the 11 and 12 year old child looking to build on their baseball experience. Leadoffs, the sacrifice bunt, and hit and run plays are all a part of the Bronco division. Players also get the chance to play on a larger diamond (70 ft bases) for that big league feel and pitch from 48ft. Coaches at this level refine the baseball skills and fundamentals of the players without losing site of the main objective - to have fun. This year, our Bronco division fielded 14 teams, and all registered players were placed on a team. Children can expect to play approximately 18-20 games each season. BYBL Pony Division: Ages 13 and 14
The Pony division is for the 13 and 14 year old interested in enjoying a season rich with baseball and healthy competition. The Pony Division is fun and exciting and played the way baseball is meant to be played. This is real baseball. Leadoffs, stealing bases, bunting, hit and run plays, and pick-offs are just some of the nuances of the game at this level. Games are played on the same size fields as middle school at this age (80ft bases) with a 54ft mound. Children can expect to play approximately 21-24 games. This year, our Pony division fielded 9 teams, and all registered players were placed on a team. Uniform's are provided: MLB replica jersey and cap, pants, belts and socks.
BYBL Colt Division: Ages 15 and 16
The Colt division is for 15 and 16 year olds that truly enjoy the game of baseball. Our Colt division typically has about 4 teams, and they will travel and face teams from other local communities. Competition and community pride become a strong part of the Colt experience as players learn the meaning of teamwork and discipline. The players play on a full size baseball field (90ft bases) and can expect to play approximately 21-24 games. The season starts late May (after the IHSA season ends) allowing players to continue baseball into the summer. Full uniforms are provided.
BYBL Palomino Division: Ages 17, 18 and 19
The Palomino division is for 17 through 19 year olds that truly enjoy the game of baseball. The season starts late May (after the IHSA season ends) allowing players to continue baseball into the summer. They will travel and face teams from other local communities and can expect to play approximately 21-24 games. Full uniforms are provided.
